Check-In Procedure
Within 5 days of your reservation date, the reservation holder will receive an email with that month’s gate code and a request to confirm that your group will be attending.
Upon arrival at Camp Westin, please enter through the main gate and proceed only to the areas included in your approved reservation. All use of Camp Westin requires an approved reservation or written authorization from the Northwest Georgia Council.
The reservation holder should have either an electronic or paper copy of the reservation available during the stay.
If your group is the first unit or group arriving at camp, please turn on the water. The water valve is located beside the main gate.
The reservation holder and adult leaders are responsible for all participants, guests, vehicles, equipment, and activities connected to the reservation. Scouting units must follow current Scouting America leadership requirements, including two-deep leadership and all applicable youth protection policies.
Please review and follow all Camp Westin rules, posted policies, staff instructions, and applicable Scouting America policies during your stay.
Please contact the Scout Service Center with any issues, concerns, or changes related to your reservation.
By checking in, the reservation holder acknowledges that the group has an approved reservation, has received the current gate code, will follow Camp Westin rules, and will be responsible for the proper use of the campsite or facility during the reservation period.
Check-Out Procedure
Before leaving Camp Westin, the reservation holder and adult leaders are responsible for making sure the campsite and all areas used by the group are clean, secure, and left in good condition.
All trash and garbage must be removed from camp when your group leaves. Camp Westin is a pack-in/pack-out facility, and trash should not be left in campsites, fire rings, buildings, roadsides, trails, or anywhere else on the property.
Campsites, program areas, roads, trails, and any facilities used by the group should be checked before departure. Please make sure all equipment is removed, fires are completely out, and the area is left cleaner than you found it.
If your group is the last unit or group leaving camp, turn off the water before departure. The main water valve is located to the side of the main gate.
Please contact the Scout Service Center with any issues or concerns related to your reservation or camp use.
By checking out, the reservation holder acknowledges that the group has removed all trash, secured the campsite or facility used, followed Camp Westin rules, and completed the required departure procedures.
